Our Story

Trafft’s own story started in 2020, but overall it began much earlier when we created Amelia WordPress Booking Plugin with our team of 5 people back then. We discovered the need for ‘hands on’ solutions that would be present in people’s everyday lives and make them easier.

People don’t wake up in the morning thinking about new technologies, but live their lives, run their businesses, and deal with everyday pains and problems. That’s why we didn’t ever run for crazy innovative and disruptive ideas just for the sake of it. We believe that technologies should aim to solve people’s problems and not dictate the rules.

The niche where we saw that lots of aspects could be optimized and improved for all parties for a “smoother” experience was the service industry niche. So, the first step for us was automating booking for WordPress websites. When we launched our plugin, the market response was great. People loved the simplicity, intuitive interface, and nice experience for their customers.

After a successful first step, we created and launched Trafft as the next step. White optimal and smooth booking is still at the “heart” of the platform, Trafft goes much beyond that. It works as a standalone tool that synchronizes and coordinates most of the aspects of a service business - marketing, sales and CRM, accounting, invoicing, employee management, constant online availability, business KPI monitoring, and many more. What also makes Trafft stand out is the customer support that helps users along the way with both technical and business matters.

Trafft’s prelaunch happened in the last weeks of 2020, and we used almost a complete year to test-drive it with just a few customers, to roll out new features and make sure everything works perfectly. Then, in late 2021/early 2022 we launched it for a wider audience, and it’s been growing rapidly since then.

Alexander Gilmanov, a founder of Trafft

Alexander Gilmanov

CEO, Founder, and Author of the idea

With a Ph.D. in Technology and Computer Sciences and a background in software development, Alexander has more than 10 years of experience in transforming ideas into finished products. Founded and led wpDataTables (bootstrapped to $500K ARR), Amelia (bootstrapped to $1M ARR), and now Trafft. Led projects up to $60M in size, including large Fintech, Adtech, and Medtech projects in the UK and EU. His hobbies include marathon running, playing piano, and DJing. An avid collector of vinyl records and oldtimers.

Isidora Markovic, a product lead

Product Lead

With a Master’s degree in Business Systems Organization, 5+ years of experience, and 5 successful projects under her belt, Isidora is a Project Manager with exceptional organizational skills and extensive knowledge of booking plugins. Passionate about the entire product design process - from developing an effective strategy and working on new features to collaborating with designers and developers. Loves being able to work on the project she truly believes in and sharing her expertise with the team and other IT enthusiasts. Enjoys arts, music, watching sports (especially Formula One), and doing yoga.

Aleksandar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and has 10 years of experience in various fields and industries including WordPress plugins, SaaS, SelfCheckout Lanes, ATMs, Server installations, POS terminal installations, Cash Register installations, and QA. Enjoys working across different industries and projects and is motivated by versatile working environments such as TMS. An innovation enthusiast who is always the one using the newest technologies, apps, and software. Likes spending time with his family, playing guitar, listening to music, playing football, and working with his hands.

Bogdan Radusinovic, a marketing team lead

Marketing Team Lead

Bogdan Radusinovic is a Marketing Team Lead with 6 years of experience working in the SaaS and WP plugin industry. Can be found attending WordCamp conferences where he regularly exchanges ideas and information with like-minded WP enthusiasts. As an Engineer of Organizational Sciences, Bogdan is driven by the challenge of finding the best possible solution to any problem he encounters. Loves traveling, hanging out with friends and colleagues, watching sports, playing basketball (although a bit rusty now 🙂), Sony PlayStation, reading, and napping whenever possible.

Biljana Devic, an operations and people manager

Biljana is a highly skilled Operations and People Manager with 10 years of experience in the field. With a Master’s degree in Marketing Management, Biljana has demonstrated a strong ability to manage and empower teams across various industries. Enjoys everyday interactions with people, as there’s no “one size fits all” approach in HR. Each situation is a new opportunity for her to adapt her strategy and connect with people on a personal level in order to meet their needs. Her motto is: "Encourage, lift, and strengthen one another. For the positive energy spread to one will be felt by all of us." Loves swimming, yoga, and traveling.

A Bachelor of Computer Information Systems, Milos has been an essential part of TMS for the past 7 years. He’s worked with multiple B2B software solutions but now is completely focused on booking solutions and responsible for backend development. His main interests are full-stack development, microservices, integrations, and databases. Milos oversees product strategy, leads the team, and trains new members, setting a high bar for excellence. When not at work, he loves spending quality time with his family. He's a vintage car enthusiast and a dedicated water polo player.

Egor Nohrin, a senior full stack developer

Senior Full Stack Developer

Egor’s passion for technology started at the young age of 6, right after he got his first ZX Spectrum. Although he graduated from the Faculty of Economics, his interest in technology never waned, leading him to specialize in back-end design and development. With 15 years of experience, Egor is a key contributor to the Amelia plugin, responsible for the implementation of all essential features. When he's not coding, he enjoys watching anime and has been an avid snowboarder for years.

Nikola holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and has been working in the field since 2013. With an impressive track record in both FinTech and MedTech industries, Nikola has demonstrated expertise in developing robust and scalable systems. He is particularly passionate about designing and implementing back-end architecture. Also, Nikola has hands-on experience mentoring and leading development teams, where his collaborative approach helps foster a positive team dynamic. In his free time, Nikola loves playing table tennis.
